My obsession with China continues… (Not Olympics related)

I’ve got to hand it the Chinese again.  They come up with the most creative ways to do everything… Even how Chinese gang members can make a quick buck is remarkable.

Sure, we’ve all heard of goons and thugs killing people for money (everyone knows the premise behind Grand Theft Auto).  Maybe the target was a high-ranking member of a rival gang or mafia.  Or maybe the target just pissed off the wrong Tony Montana, and decided to sniff lines of cocaine off Scarface’s kid sister in the bathroom of the Babylon Club.  Whichever the case, this story has to be the most appealing.

The gang members were killing the elderly and disabled and selling them to rich families in lieu of deceased relatives who were then secretly buried.  When you read it, you feel bad, especially for the families and friends of the elderly and disabled.

But wait a second, this could be looked at from many point of views.  I’m going to look at it from an economist’s perception.  Let us say that they were just sold to be cremated and nobody got buried in their place.  Also, Let us be real for a second: Do the elderly and disabled really serve a purpose in our society?  So when they die, then sold, then cremated… What happens?  That frees up some room for people who try to work in today’s booming Chinese society.  Money is circulated in the economy. Agriculture booms because of cemeteries do not exist anymore.  Population is being somewhat controlled in a fast growing populated nation.   No more working around the 88 year-old pervert, who craps his pants whenever the microwave oven turns on.  And discouraging burials to conserve farmland and to eradicate superstition = GENIUS!

I don’t want to sound like the next Aldolf Hitler here and encourage the murders of a certain group of people, but these communist gang members maybe on to something.  Just thinking out loud, here.

And, I already know, I’m a horrible individual.  Fire away.

The Greatest Story of 2008: Even Chubby Would Be Proud

Knowing that people out there still love and appreciate “Teen Wolf” brings great joy to my heart, similar to the way Boof made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. And so we have the story of the former Greg White - now Stylez G. White.

Mr. White is a defensive end for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers who decided to honor “Wolf Fever” by officially changing his name to Stylez G. White. So it’s not EXACTLY the same way that “Stiles” spelled it in the movie, but close enough. After all, the original Stiles was the inspiration behind the legal name change for Mr. White. In particular, the classic performance of “Win In The End” that plays during the final championship basketball game scene most likely won him over.

Stylez G. White, I salute thee. If I was Scotty, I would tear open a beer with my wolf chompers in your honor. Thank you for passing on the love of an 80’s pop culture legend to a new generation. I know Chubby would be proud.
